SI Bangalore

Bangalore is the fifth largest city in India. Its electronic and software industries have led to it being known as the  “Silicon valley” of India. SI Bangalore was chartered in 2004 and is a very active club comprising  22 members who work closely to the Programme Focus objectives of Soroptimist International.

Currently they are supporting a Lambani Tribal Village by providing toilets, access to education and training in needlework and tailoring. By offering women the opportunity to learn a trade it is hoped that the village will develop and that life experiences will be enhanced. Our friendship link with SI Bangalore is in its infancy and we are learning about the projects with which they are involved.
