New President Sandra Wilkinson was installed at the Agm on 22nd April 2010

Originally from Falkirk, Sandra is married with two of a family and, until her recent retirement, held managerial posts in the voluntary sector in Dunfermline and Edinburgh.

Soroptimist International of Dunfermline was founded in 1950 and Sandra is delighted to have been chosen as President for the Club's 60th Anniversary year.

Celebrations will include a Charter Dinner in the Queensferry Hotel in May, the planting of a commemorative orchard in Townhill Country Park in the autumn, and the creation of an innovative award for personal achievement fot girls in the Dunfermline secondary schools.

Sandra is looking forward to hosting a programme of talks and events over the coming months in support of her chosen theme - the health and welfare of children and the elderly.  Her main charity will be the "Eve Appeal" which funds research into gynaecological diseases.
